The PIC32CM JH family of microcontrollers (MCUs) is the next generation of the popular SAM C21 family of Arm® Cortex®-M0+ based MCUs. The PIC32CM JH family of MCUs delivers a variety of popular features plus extended memory options up to 512 KB of Flash and 64 KB to help you create designs that need functional safety, enhanced touch or security.

They are available in 32- to 100-pin package options and are pin compatible with the SAM C21 family in the 32-pin, 48-pin, and 64-pin packages to provide an upgrade path for existing designs or a scalable solution for new designs.

Featuring an integrated Hardware Security Module (HSM) and a variety of connectivity options, the PIC32CZ CA family of MCUs is an excellent option for automotive, industrial and other applications that need communications encryption, secure boot, authentication, secure key storage and other security capabilities.

These high-performance devices are based on an Arm® Cortex®-M7 processor and offer up to 8 MB Flash and 1 MB of SRAM. The communication options include standard serial communications, I2S™, CAN FD and 10/100/1000 Ethernet. These MCUs are available in 208-pin BGA packages and 100-pin, 144-pin, 176-pin package variants are in development.

The PIC32CM Lx family of MCUs integrates innovative features to solve challenges in the IoT, consumer, industrial and medical markets. This family provides robust security, ultra-low power, enhanced touch and smart analog while running at 48 MHz with memory configurations of up to 512 KB Flash and 64 KB SRAM. These MCUs come in three options: PIC32CM LS60, PIC32CM LS00 and PIC32CM LE00 with 48-, 64- and 100-pin variations.

The PIC32CM LE00 is a general-purpose variant, the PIC32CM LS00 provides security features such as secure boot and Arm® TrustZone® technology and the PIC32CM LS60 integrates Arm TrustZone technology with our Trust Platform ECC608 secure element in one package and is supported by Microchip Trust Platform key provisioning services and Trust Platform Design Suite v2.

Arm® Cortex®-M33 Based MCUs Provide Wide Options for Connectivity and Advanced Security Hardware

Designed with a 120 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor, the PIC32CK GC family provides a memory capacity of up to 2 MB Flash and 512 KB SRAM. Connectivity options include 10/100 Ethernet, Hi-Speed USB, Full-Speed USB, CAN FD and configurable serial communications. Analog support includes a peripheral touch controller with 32 channels and a 12-bit ADC with a 3 Msps sampling rate.

The PIC32CK SG versions add advanced key management, fast cryptographic operations and authentication for the most demanding applications in automotive, industrial, medical and communications. The integrated Hardware Security Module (HSM) subsystem contains a dedicated CPU, memory, secure DMA controllers, cryptographic accelerators and firewalled communications with the host. This creates a strong, secure enclave for secure boot, updates and trusted applications. The addition of Arm’s TrustZone® hardware-enforced security architecture can increase secure data and program regions using the host memory and peripherals.

Packaging options include 144-lead TQFP, 100-lead TQFP and 64-lead TQFP.
