The advent of Wide bandgap (WBG) power switches has enabled higher inverter switching frequencies, unlocking new opportunities for motor drive innovation.
To better understand the implications of Wide bandgap (WBG) devices, a study was conducted to exploring the impact of using higher switching frequencies on motor drive systems.
The webinar showcases experimental findings on the effect of switching frequency on motor high-frequency losses, alongside simulation of different device technologies such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) to assess the inverter losses and impact on the overall motor drive systems.
