In this webinar, we will see how a SiC solid state relay based multi-channel power distribution unit with < 1 µs overcurrent reaction time can be used for an eFuse design.
The presentation highlights the possibilities that this collaborative and multi-disciplinary approach enables.
The quick overcurrent reaction times are enabled by the fast switch-off of the SiC MOSFETs and a sigma-delta based signal processing chain tailored to the application. A key aspect is using the inductance of the resistive current sense element to obtain faster filter settling times – and therefore decreased reaction times in overcurrent events – and high accuracy during DC operation.
